QSC CP12's are awesome

I ran my first two gigs with my 2 new QSC CP-12's over the weekend.
These things are incredible.

Both shows were outdoors, 4 person band, 2 guitars, 3 vocalists and me on bass. Everything but the bass went through the PA.

Show #1 we used them as mains with no monitors (acoustic show)
Show #2 we used JBL 15's as mains and the CP-12's as monitors.

In both cases, I've never heard clearer sound without a full $100K+ House PA in use.
The crowd was blown away by sound clarity at the acoustic show

If you're on the fence about buying CP-12's.... buy them

They are a very good speaker.

It may be possible to buy better speakers for an extra 40%
But honestly, I've played through K12's (K12.2's a week earlier) and didn't think they were any better.

The CP8s sound great, much better than I expected. We use them on a Hammond SKX organ and they sound great.

cmon bro, you're on a bass forum..get some subs and put that bass through the PA. lol..QSC is a great product no doubt..My band used to use them paired with a couple peavey subs, but now we changed the QSC out for JBL's, however JBL is much more pricey but the QSC is almost as good..We played a gig with a FOH sound provided and the guy had QSC line array..I will say this; That sounded so good and clear..if it weren't for the price of all that..that would be the way I would go no doubt it..I'm definitely a QSC fan.

My band just picked up a pair of CP12's for our monitors (we use the K12's as mains). I can't wait to try them out. ZZounds has a great deal going on. $995 for the pair, and you get a set of Bags, stands, and xlr cables for free. Probably the best deal I have found (especially considering the bags are $80 each)

Just added a second KS112 sub... using K10.2’s as tops... CP12’s, K8.2’s & CP8’s as wedges (I often have a pile-o-singers) ana TM16! May switch the K10.2’s & CP12’s next time!

Nice rig, I have been wondering about how it would work out if I used monitors with same diameter speaker but the series down from my current turbosound IQ10s. Like Milan or IX. Although I just grabbed one more IQ10 yesterday so maybe I am committed now.

I was using IQ10’s, for tops, for a coupla years... had Mackie SRM350’s, for monitors, for even longer... but made the decision to go ‘all in’ with QSC’s about a year ago. I picked up the TM16, about 5 yrs. ago, and am still figuring out the best way(s) to utilize it... as I am totally new to doing anything in the ‘digi-sound-tech’ area. I still prefer seeing everything (physically) laid out before me- but, as I age, I NEED the light weight- and living in a condo demands portability! I’ve been watching youtube tutorials- and am learning!

I use 5 Milan 10's for my monitors. Great bang for the buck.

I have two FH systems. QSC K10.2's for tops and 2 x EV powered 12" subs. I use this system for small gigs or outside gigs that are difficult. I use 4 x Turbosound IP2000's other wise.

Update on an old post. I know own 5 x CP8's for monitors. Working great for two years now.
