Quality of 3Leaf Enabler DI/XLR

Have a fairly important show coming up next week. As far as a DI goes, I have often plugged into my Aguilar TH500 and send the signal out from there when the sound guy wasn't up with mic'ing my cabs (I have a Heil PR40). Now that I just received the Mesa/Boogie Prodigy, I'm not certain or familiar with the DI on the head. I have a 3Leaf Enabler that I use mostly as a pre-amp but am thinking about mixing my signal with the PR40 and a essentially "clean" signal with the Enabler DI to blend. Seems like blending is a great option when two channels can be run. For those of you who have used the Enabler in this setting, any issues or comments? Seems as though 3leaf products are highly regarded and my only other effects pedal I use was made by Spencer (Darkglass VMT).
Wondering if I need to just pony up for a "tried-and-true" Radial J48 or something like that as I switch between passive Precision and Jazz basses.

It's a GREAT little unit for both DI and preamp purposes, tons of clean warmth. Just make sure the gain staging/master volume setup on the unit is dialed in for your bass if you're using both DI and preamp (in post XLR) at the same time - that way you won't get any clipping.

I ended up using a Radial JDI between the Mesa Boogie tube head and my cabs and sending the DI signal out that way. Very happy with the result. Put the Enabler at the front of my pedal chain and offered to send that "clean" signal to the house but the sound guy didn't seem too keen on having me in two channels.

nice! that way you get the output tubes and transformer into the tone equation. the only thing close to a drawback i could see is that now you can't change your stage volume without also changing the FOH send.

still, might be worth it if you ever get a leisurely soundcheck to compare that setup to the mesa's own DI.
