Question about Hartke Hydrive HX112

Hello again, folks,
Waiting for my bass cabinet, having ordered it recently, I was having a look to the website, and downloaded the user manual, just to be sure that I know everything I need, but I saw something that got me confused.

Before reading it, I thought that the connections at right side of the panel were for 8ohm mode input (the same side as in the switch) and the left side for 4ohm mode input.
But as you can see, the manual says right side is input and left output (??) if so, why is the second cabinet connected on the output?

Is the manual wrong? I just find what I thought before more logical than this.

It just shows how to connect 1 or 2 cabinets. If you use 2, you switch each cab to 8-ohm mode so the total load on the amp is 4-ohms. If you connect only one, you can choose either 4-ohms or 8-ohms. Hartke is assuming if you only use 1 cab, that you'll want to run your amp at 4-ohms, so it tells you to set the single cab to 4-ohms. You could just as well choose to run you amp at 8-ohms. If so, you set the single cab to 8-ohms.

I know that, the thing is I thought there had te be plugged in another way.
I thought that each cabinet had to be connected with each output of the head. Also the plate looks as if right side is for 8ohm input and 4ohm is at the left
