Question about Mesa PH 210

I'm not getting it.

How old is too old for a cab?

I'm just getting back into amp and cabs. I was using a powered PA. I was primarily an upright bassist.

As long as the cabinet is in good functioning condition and don't damage it, the cabinet can last a very long time.

With very old cabinets (and amps, and effects and other things), you will have to contend with parts that are no longer available. The manufacturer of the drivers in that cabinet went out of business almost 20 years ago, and we no longer have any service stock left.

I have two of these. Yes, early PH210, the old 1/4" only panel.
This was circa 2001 to 2004

I wouldn't pass on it just for age/obsolescence... just looking at the pictures, it doesn't look like it was abused at least not outwardly. Of course that says nothing about the speakers within... who knows, maybe some doofus thought they were gonna' be a rockstar? I'd try it and see. If the price was fair, I would love to add this cab to my Diesel 15 from the same era. Just me.
