Question about picks

Yo everybody. Ive been using Dunlop Tortex .88 picks (the green ones) for a while. Love the tonality of them, especially the thwack that they have. Is there a pick that has similar tonal qualities (A good thwack) but has higher durability? I go through a pick every gig or so, grinding the side until it becomes practically unusable.

If you love that pick why change? Are you really so strapped you can't afford a new one each gig? They only cost around $.25 each.
