Question About Recording Rehearsals

If I were home with my gear I wouldn't need to ask this but since I'm not I will.

I am wanting to run my bass signal to a Yamaha MG10XU mixer during rehearsals and record the mixer output in my DAW via the USB output on the mixer. Since I am not using my effects send/return on my Boss GT-10B can I use that send as a DI input signal for the mixer while I am using the Boss output for my amp? I never use effects send/return so I don't know much about them. I could just mic my bass cab but I'd rather use DI.

Depending on your interface, if you have 2 inputs you can run a TRS or 1/4" instrument cable out from the Yamaha to your interface. And you can also run a TRS cable to your interface.

It just hit me to use the XLR balanced out on the back of my SVT-3PRO. I've always just run it straight... pedal board > amp > cab
