Question for BTB Owners

Hi All -

Been reading for a while but this is my 1st post..

I've got the BTB 675M, and while I love the tone, I'm finding it to be a bit clanky (if that makes sense). I've admittedly only played for 3 months, so I assume my technique just isn't there yet. But has anyone else experienced this? Perhaps I need different strings? Again - not much experience here..

BTW, here she is (assuming the photo works!)

Thanks!

I had that bass for a while and really liked it. As a Ric lover, the clank was one of the things I liked! That bass sounds great with a pick.

Anyways, klank is mostly treble, so roll off the treble or don't change the strings once their broken in.

I just cleaned and set up a six for a friend and strung it with DR Fat Beams stainless steel strings and clank is exactly what I got. Dialed it out at the bass and I got mud. I wasn't keeping it so I didn't sweat it. The thing that got me was that it sounded great unplugged.
