Question for Eden EX110 Cabinet Owners

OP, my EX110 looks like you describe at the base of the whizzer except mine is black in that 1/8" of space instead of tan, like yours. I bought mine in about 2014, perhaps that's the difference.

Other than that it is just as you described, and sounds great.

Interesting and really helpful. Yes, since mine was just bought new right before I made my original post in this thread and yours was bought in 2014, I'm going to assume that that explains the color difference (mine tan, yours black) in that gap area. Regardless of the color in the gap, I'm going to assume that that the gap is normal based on what I'm hearing in total from everyone.
