so if you're not a fan, try simply not listening to KoRn. i swear it isnt that difficult.

you can laugh at him and mock him all you want.

but he's the one laughing back at his house. never having to lift a finger working a 9-5 job

Man oh man, why the hell is it, that whenever somebody asks a question that involves feildy, it turns into a 'I dont like him thread'? Jesus christ people, the man asked you what was happening with that photo, not whether he was a good bassist! There's always some moron who, without fail, manages to cause an arguement! Im all for healthy conversation but jesus. Yes, we've established feildy isnt for everyone, not even me, so can we answer the damn question and bury the hatchet? please?

Sorry bout the rant, but I really hate stuff like this!

I like 'em! :)

He's the coolest and most laid-back member of the band, who always hosts the BBQ's, busts out the digital videocamera backstage, etc.. I remember when KoRn first came out, in '94 with their first album, and thinking that the bass was actually the kick drum, but the more I listened, found out that it WAS the bass!! The reason he has it EQ'd as such is so you can hear the bass with the rest of the band. I'm not sure how many of y'all have played with TWO guitarists dropped down to A, somtimes lower, but there's not a ton of freq's left for bass. So instead of dropping down and bottoming out on the mix, like everyone else does, he just went higher. Invented something perfect for their sound. As has been said before (to an extent), not everything in the world has to be an effin' Racer-X track to be "good". Technique is just a by-product. KoRn IMO isn't about the music, but the feeling and emotion you get from listening to the total package of the songwriting and lyrical content. Jon Davis is an incredible vocalist and songwriter. And if you've never seen 'em live, you don't even know what you're talkin' about. Those guys wail! I just remember how big a deal the first album was when it came out to me, so I still stick up for those guys... like they, the hundred billionaires need such... ;)
