Hi guys,
I am not really into FX pedals, but have always been curious about compressors. I have a Carl Martin Opto on it's way to me, and have being doing some research about how it works and how to set it up.
It has four knobs...Gain/Level/Comp/Attack. I think I now have a fair idea about how these function.
Now, to my question (with apologies if it seems silly one) :
In my research, I have come across general suggestions such as to set the attack "X" way, and the release "Y" way. As the Carl Martin Opto only has an "attack" knob, is it not possible to set the release ? Does one depend on how the other is set...i.e. if I set the attack at slow, will the release be fast etc ?
In a nutshell my question is..is it possible to set the "release" speed on this compressor ?
Thanks in advance.
Here is the manual for it :
