Question regarding amp head hookup.

I have a Yorkville bassmaster XS400 bass amp head..and I remember reading something awhile back that turning on an amp head with nothing hooked up to it could fry the output transformer(?). I wanted to use the head's XLR line out for recording, would this be a problem if it wasn't also hooked up with the normal outputs to my cabinet?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I knew solid state amps were more forgiving in that reguard. But I guess I wasn't sure cause this amp is a hybrid(preamp tube for added juicyness). But thanks for the quick reply!!
