Question regarding rules...

Well, hello everybody! I found this wonderful little forum and have parused through it and liked what I saw! So, I decided to join. But I have a question regarding the rules:
What is a shill? Just asking so I don't do something dumb on accident.

Woops, sorry! Meant to post in the Off-topic thread... don't really know how I got the corner... I do not see a delete button, so is there any way I can move these posts and/or remove em?

You can PM a mod to have them move or delete the thread.

A "shill" (as you'd find by Googling it ) is a person who talks up a company's products while they have a secret connection to that company. IOW Joe Schmoe might come into the Amps forum and post "XYZ Brand amps are the bomb! I have never heard such incredible tone!" and they might defend XYZ Brand if someone else posts criticisms of XYZ amps; but what we don't know is that Joe Schmoe works for XYZ amps, or is a friend of the owner, or has some other connection that sours the legitimacy of their statements.

No worries here, I guess. I'm too broke to "shill." If I knew someone in one of these big companies, I would be ALOT better off than I am now...
