Question regarding the Fender Custom Shop

Since the Custom shop can not be contacted directly by consumers, does anyone know if one can order a bass that mirrors
another person's bass? Certainly one could guess what the features are of, for example Sting's custom P Bass,
it would be impossible to know what the electronics are and what the core is, etc.... But can one through a Custom Shop dealer
obtain the traveler, which is the document that contains the specs of every bass that leaves the Custom Shop, so
that one could either follow or modify the specs?

Honestly, you're better off getting a custom bass from another brand. The closest thing I can think of to 7ender is G&L, especially if you want to respect Leo Fender's legacy.

I think the OP might have meant the new black P bass that Sting seems to be using on the latest tour - not the ‘57 one, which wasn’t custom shop (although he did have a replica made by the custom shop, I’m not sure he uses it).

I have not seen this bass but will check it out.
