SX P-bass or Jazz bass. Better build quality than the Squire, lower price. Not as much name recognition, but well thought of in these parts. Check out the Essex Megathread for more info:

Some practice worthy amps...all in the under $250 range, and some in the $220 range. Much better wattage and build quality than the one in the package.
The tuner and metronome are fine...I'd skip worrying about a case or bag until you're playing outside the house, for more than just trips for lessons (hint, hint).
I only want amps under 100$, closer to 50 though... I don't want to pay too much for an amp jsut yet... you said "practice worthy" do you mean it's only strong enough in my home?
the reason why I need a hardshell case is to protect it from fallin stuff in my closet, and also it has a good lock, which will keep out my snoopy little siblings. x_x The gig bag has no lock... Is that the kind of gig bag that you can put a gym lock on?
I like the first guitar you posted better, it looks awefully like the onle I mentioned before... A lot cheaper too... Is it cheaper adn better than the fender? Well, you already said yeah, but I mean is it cheaper to buy that guitar and the headphones, beginning amp, headphones, cable, strap, and all that stuff for 300$ or to buy it all individually??
