While I'm no fan of GC, I'm not sure it's fair to automatically dismiss any brand simply because they made a deal with the devil for their US distribution. Their distributor choice does not diminish the quality of their products.
I've had Markbass stuff for years, and while it's not the same sonic quality I get from my Aguilar or Thunderfunk gear, it has been 100% rock solid. No issues ever in hundreds of gigs. And best of all. . . . my whole MB setup (210 combo + medium sized 1x15 cab) weigh in at about the same as my Aguilar DB750 in it's case alone!
For me, you can't go wrong with Markbass for the price.
Now, if they would just do something about the annoying orangeish-yellow colors I'd like it even more.
