Quilted Maple or Figured Walnut?

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I'm very happy with it. Definitely looking forward to rehearsal next week so I can get a sense of how she's going to sit in the mix.

I own a quilted maple... Wish I owned a walnut...

I own lots of Maple and no Walnut (except for the slabs in the basement waiting for a project!)

Let's face it.
Maple is so "yesterday".
Walnut is so "today".

I'd go walnut but get the covered top option.

I've never cared for the look of a neck-through bass where the layers of the neck construction are visible and contrast with the body wings. Always looks like a surfboard to me.
