Alright, I'm halfway through the 31 pages of this thread and I have a question. I have been using the GK MB series (200, 500 & 800, no fusions) for years, but I have become unhappy with the baked-in sound of the GKs. So much so, that I started a few months ago leaving the MB controls flat and using a BDDI as the sole tone shaper. The BDDI has helped me get some of the punch back into my tone that the GK just don't seems to have no matter how much I futz with the amp's EQ.
After reading about the "stiffness" of the BB800, I'm wondering if I would need the BDDI in the chain to get the punch. Also I just played the first gig with my new Barefaced One10 last night, and I would love anyone's impression on how the two match up (BTW - I have an order in for a second One10 already!)
The form factor, eq setup and the words of Pat Quilter have me believing this may be my magic bullet.
