Here I am in 1985. Big mullet, striped bass, parachute pants, sweatband on wrist.
You got several bases covered (no pun intended). But the wife beater and stash say 70's bible belt to me.

The belt was bandannas through the belt loops. These stash are definitely 80's. Check "The Wedding Singer" movie.
I'd also add a freehanging end of a narrow trouser belt.
I forgot about JT.The Duran Duran bassist John Taylor pretty much checked all the 80’s stereotype boxes.
I do recall my wrists getting more sweaty back in school days. I like that that match. I think mine were white and red stripesI don't need no stinking pedals. It's all me.
Don't forget the wristbands. I had a pair of red ones and a pair of black ones like this band.

Black long sleeve rash guard with a maiden shirt that's cut in half and stretched to body width at the collar. Leather strap bracelets up both arms. Bowl cut with a perm. Ripped jeans that your 9 year old niece can fit into. No underwear. Dock Martins. And mascara.Hey Guys, thought this would be fun! I was just just playing along to some 80's stuff with my 1987 Guild Pilot in the studio and sorta feeling like it's 1987 lol. I felt sexy lol. I have the longer hair and beard but I think the quintessential 1987 bassist is:
-Male model or close to it (gotta look good on MTV)
-Gorgeous flowing mullet
-Awesome earring on just left ear
-Studded leather jacket
Anything missing hehe?
