There is also the EHX LPB2ube. Since it has tubes in it, I would assume there is definitely some coloration going on

The LPB-1 isn't anything but a clean boost. Micro Amp isn't anything but a dirty boost - as is the Rustboost. I'm looking for things that are supposed to add some beneficial characteristic to your tone.

Not a clean or dirty boost... unless they're supposed to do something cool.

Well if you put it that way, I actually use the Rust Boost not as a boost but as a sort of buffer/filter/thingy for fuzzes that don't like anything else in front of them so I can put them anywhere I want in my chain with out the fuzz cutting in and out or getting all crumply.

All boosts have some kind of coloration, especially when used in different applications. One boost may be good for overdriving an amp, one may be better for clean, one may be better for an effect, etc... Even the LPB-1, for example, actually clips at the very beginning of note attack, because the transistor runs out of headroom, it is not a "clean" boost. If you don't beleive me, look at a recorded waveform of the LPB, this is even more noticeable with an active bass. I would imagine a real clean boost would probably need at least 18VDC power to never clip.

If it was really a clean boost, you don't need to include it in your shootout. You could just say, "Exactly like your bass, but louder."

And possibly the Devi Ever Karaoke Party both work very well as boost pedals with a very different sound from the others you have listed.

Then there is the Moen Buffalo, lots of tone shaping options and will push into overdrive.

my favourite boost is a germ boost on full mode. not sure who puts one out other than BYOC, but that's the one i use.
