R.I.P. AlaskaLeftybass

Gosh darn it. :(

He messaged me just weeks before when I was on a TB break, responded to him when I got back over a month later and just noticed buy the time I responded to his message he was gone.
Just thought he was on a TB break also is why there was no response. :crying:

Great guy, his boy lives a few towns over from me and I have family in Alaska, we tried a few times to meet up but schedules never aligned.

Many great, warm and caring conversations.

Here is his last one.

Hello sir,

How's it going nowadays? Getting better here in Sitka. We have a very low alert level and the restaurants are slowly opening up. We don't expect many tour ships this year but some hopefully. Spring has sprung! So that means-- yup! Spring cleaning!

I think late summer I'm taking Carey to Seattle for a checkup at U of W. Medical Center. They were so wonderful there. Plus, I'm craving some REAL Chinese food. Not that fake mystery meat with radioactive red sauce! LOL.

I bought a used Ibanez SR1200L last December. Not much looking at gear because what's the use until we can all play onstage anymore. Anyway still fun to talk music and bass gear.

Take care,

Will

See you around Will.

I just saw this today. I had quite a few good conversations with A-Lefty and I'm sad to hear this.

I went down some sort of rabbit hole today and found myself here. Sorry to his family and friends for their loss. Always sad to hear of someone passing but, even worse when relatively young. I struck a nerve with something I said here one day and to my knowledge, he’s the only member to have me blocked. I know this because he said he was blocking me. LOL…I guess that’s a testament to his character. Anyone else who may have blocked me never had nads to say it…lol

At any rate, he seemed like a good cat and probably one I’d hang with for a chat, a beer and friendly banter.

Hey, Y’all!
It happened again!
Watching Jeopardy, as ya do…

‘Sitka’ wasn’t the correct answer/question, but Sitka was part of the clue…and, of course, thanks to Will, I got it right without breaking a sweat!

Go ahead!
Try to sneak a Sitka question by me!

Thanks, Will!;)
I saw Sitka mentioned in a clickbait article on the ten most beautiful places to live the other day.
