My favorite rack pre is the old Ashly SC-40. Semi-Parametric EQ, option to bypass the EQ for the XLR out, Hi and Low for stage outputs, and an fx loop. Not two channels, but it does have a High and Low input to account for active instruments. Can be hard to come by, but usually not terribly expensive.
