Rack Tuner: Korg or Behringer

Koooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stress the fact that Korg is way better than the Behringer. For the love of god, get the Korg!

Why you ask? The Korg does everything better than the Behringer. It handles a low B without failure and tracks it quickly too.

I've used the Korg now for the last 2yrs. And had compared Behringer.....well I am not using Behringer. It's Ok but the Korg is more accurate.

I have one of the Fender tuners Jumbotron mentioned & it does work great.

Contrary to all the gear snobbery on this board not all Behringer products are crap ... some are but you can say that about almost any companies products these days.

I haven't had one of their tuners but I have had other Behringer stuff that was very good ... actually I have had way worse luck with Korg product than Behringer & I have been playing for over 30 years & owned lots of gear, high & low end.

The Korg will be the better choice. But you'll have to find one used, since Korg has sadly discontinued all their rack tuners. I ended up buying a Link Removed to get something factory new, since there aren't many options left now. The StroboRack does work very well, but it's a bit on the spendy side. Especially if you add the expansion I/O board (which I don't see the point of and personally skipped).

It's not gear snobbery, the Behringer IS crap. Particularly in regards to the rack tuner, there are dozens if not hundreds of posts on TB stating that it tracks very slowly, and will not track a B string at all.

I'm the one who "started" the gear snobbery in this thread. I gave reasons for not get the Behringer, not just an opportunity to bash a company that makes a few decent stomp boxes. I didn't bash the company, I just jerked the steering wheel forcefully to help him avoid the redwood he was heading for.

I had the Behringer tuner out of pure juvenile costiveness.
IT SUCKS!!!! takes years to tune or to even recognize the tone. When I used a five string it got even worse!
I now use a Korg Pitchblack and everything is fine!

dont do the same mistake i did!

ive never had great experiences with behringer products (though im sure they make some good things), and the small korg tuner i have works great; the rack one should be better id think.

have you considered furman? mine has been going strong for at least 10 years, with zero problems. and, its got neato lights and a power conditioner with a half dozen ac slots. its not very expensive either; might cut down on rack spaces used, too.

korg ftw

behringer are just awful I've known a lot of musos that have bought there products and every one eventually broke.
I've only had headphones and they even stopped working

I use a korg DT-10 tuner and it's great as for their rack tuners I assume would only be better.
