rack tuner?

I've got a Korg DTR-2.

I don't use the mute function- really the only reason I wanted a rack tuner is because I didn't want to have to carry around and hook up a tuner.

Keeping in mind that I play loud, crashy rock and roll- my only complaint about the DTR-2 is that it's "too accurate." What I mean by that is that you spend a lot of time bouncing back and forth between flat and sharp.

The problem there is I end up "ball-parking" it, and get it somewhere in the neighborhood of in tune rather than in tune or next door to in tune. Dig?

I don't have that problem with my old Boss TU-12 or TU-2, but they're not rack mounted.

I have a Korg dtr1000...no hum or bleedthrough or anything. Works great. I'm running it with 1800watts of amp, and when I hit mute, it means MUTE! Tuning is very easy as well.

Hi everyone

I'm using the Korg DTR-1000 as well and it's perfect. Complete mute - no hum at all, nothing goes through! Furthermore, this is a "True Bypass" unit.

I once tried by accident to forget to turn it on but that didn't stop the signal to pass on to my amp even though the unit wasn't turned at all! For testing purpose I then tried in unmuted mode to turn the tuner on and off several times - not even a "click" or anything else was heard. This means that the signal is unaffected by the tuner - the unit only "listen" to the bypassing signal, it doesn't "do" anything to the signal.
