Rapahel Saadiq Appreciation Thread

I have to say this thread, FEELS GOOD.
TTT was what got me into guitar, then bass came later.

I understand Saddiq is the bassist on the D'Angelo jam "How Does it Feel," from the Voodoo album. Killer, killer bass playing, that plays a huge role in how this tune builds from a simmer to a smoulder, to an outright inferno. Every blue moon, you hear a jam that you wish you'd been able to create...this is one of the main ones for me. Gonna work backwards from this thread, and learn more about this artist. Wow....

You're correct. Saadiq is worth investigating. A really tremendous talent in every aspect. The bass playing is the cherry on top.

Last year he was on Austin City Limits and him and his band killed! It's one of the shows that will stay on my DVR forever.
