Ok rattlers. I am thinking of doing 1 or 2 parts basses.
I found a guy that makes cheap necks.
I want to paint it to match my 2006 Chevy HHR, which is Sunset Orange Metallic.

I painted a bass using Rustoleum universal metallic and it was taking forever to dry, i decided to sand it and start again but the paint its melting when i sand it
it is really sticky to the touch now and the sanding paper sticks to the paint!

Any hardware store. It's a chemical stripper, works really good and doesn't stink up the house in the process.
I just used some Duplicolor and think I didn't do enough clear coat. Is it ok to just reshoot? (Been sitting for two weeks) or do I need to sand, wipe with rubbing alcohol and then spray again? I can just feel a lot of roughness and would like it to be nice and smooth.
well just shot 2 coats of Reranch primer yesterday, will post progress when I start spraying Seafoam Green in a few days.......

Yeah i know about reranch but i am looking for other options to spray with preval and not order online.
Be CAREFUL with stripping products. Wear hand and eye protection as these will burn the SHIAT out of you...

I shot some cheapo Krylon satin on a budget poly tele and it turned out great.
I tried some Dupiclor Acr Laq on another shellaced tele body and it was a disaster. Huge bubbles and blisters all over. Im still sanding that stuff off to get it flat again.
