I’ve sat down quite a few times with a Jazz at GC and almost bought. They never quite did it for me though, so I get it. Their return policy has been kind to me as well.
Be thankful you can. Returns are hard here unless they're faulty or not as described.
Huh? I've returned at least a dozen guitars to GC over the years because I didn't care for them. Never had an issue.
Did it occur to you I'm not in the US and wasn't referring to GC specifically?
That's the great thing about GC. Their return policy is great. I've tried to love jazz basses, but they are not for me.

IMO if the music is just a bit heavy or needs a pic a passive jazz sounds weak in the mix,thats why I dont like them.

I had a fretless Jazz a short time ago and at first I loved it but had to let it go when my left hand started cramping up because the neck was too thin.
I have big hands and need a fat neck.

I love a good return policy. My Sweetwater guy gets nervous every time I show interest in a bass.

I never cared for the old neck with the tight string spacing at the nut, which is odd because I have no issue playing guitars. I bought my son a mid 90s MIM JB and it was not as bad. No problems with the tone however.
Probably not, since your profile doesn’t show where in the world you might be located, and you weren’t clear about it in your post. The only thing you have done to point a reader in that direction is using the word “here”…where YOU are…which can be anywhere, even in the U.S. (there are places in the U.S. that do not have easy access to a Guitar Center…like the village of Supai, for example)
