Yes, on others sound great with a jazz. I played it at my gig, I brought my Sterling Ray4 just for fun. After the 1st set I swapped back to the ray4. Guitar player looks at me & says, that one (Ray4) sounds betterFunny thing is, at the store or solo I totally love the sound of Jazz basses, but when you throw them in a mix I'm not as much of a fan (for my particular playing style, I have seen bands that sound great with them).
Agree. I’m from Asia Pacific and returns there are basically unheard of. This is a first-world blessing I enjoy (but not abuse).Did it occur to you I'm not in the US and wasn't referring to GC specifically?
one of these makes a Jazz Bass better

Also the John East J-Retro preamp is really nice in a jazz bass
So the sound of your P bass is so terrible, any Jazz sounds good by comparison? This makes any Jazz bass sound better!

So far nothing. Money burning a hole in my pocket. Actually looking at the Yamaha TRBX 504. I lean toward a more modern tone & active eq humbuckersWhat did you buy instead!
I love a good return policy. My Sweetwater guy gets nervous every time I show interest in a bass.
Thank you for not asking for nut width. Someone might be looking for a new sales rep...or a lawyer.string spacing and weight of the sales rep who did your return.
That’s a shame. I’ve only had good experiences with them. Return shipping is usually about $20 for a bass. Same with AMS.Ive yet to make another major purchase from SW (bought a midrange bass years ago with some of the worst fretwork I have ever seen...they were going to charge me a king's ransom to return.) How that passed their whatever point inspection is a mystery. I appreciate that they weigh all highend gear and even make videos. SW has never offered me a price match let alone a better deal when I have inquired. They just dont do it for me even though I am in striking distance of Fort Wayne. That showroom is amazing though, and the staff great. Rather get the deals from GC used section ( from mislabeled and underpriced gear) and do so with no fear of lemons and duds.

A Fender P in Capri orange!
That is right at the top of my GAS list.
Actually, I think it was the very first thing I put on the list.
maybe I’ll use the fender case as a gun case
