I was wondering if it was possible to re wound epiphone thunderbird pickups to the same specs as a gibson t-bird pickup?

Might be cheaper to buy what you are looking for, but a number of makers will wind to your spec.
Maybe try SGD Lutherie. David is a great guy. He might coach you a bit if you want to do it yourself.

It's not so much a rewinding issue as it might be a bobbin issue. I'm not sure if the Epi pickups are made the same way as the Gibson versions are.
I'd go with Curtis Novak and Lollar since they both do Thunderbird pickups right now. Lollar sells a version, Curtis told me he can wind them only at this point.
SGD is also a good bet, but he doesn't have a Thunderbird pickup currently (or at least not to Gibson spec) plus he's got quite the backlog if you want them fast.
