Have I mentioned lately just how badly I want a P-bass?!?!? Man, these things sound so GREAT in a mix.

I had the chance to spend the day with my youngest son at the store today. We had his cello, so we decided to record one of the little songs he's been working on in his cello lessons. This is probably a recording that only a father can love, but it gave me a chance to record another bass that I had yet to put in a sound clip. If you love slightly out of tune cello playing, by all means listen to the complete mix. If you just want to hear the Lull, skip to the naked bass track.![]()
All of the bass tracks were recorded direct through my REDDI tube DI. I used this Roscoe Century Standard Plus PJ 4-string. The bassline and solo parts are all P pickup, the melody is PJ, and the chords and harmony part are all J.

Enjoy!
