Double Bass Realist Input Jack

Instead of running the string through the clip I use a 10-23 and a couple washers to mount it to the G string hole on the tailpiece.

Another thought is to replace the jack with something like the jack that comes with the Full Circle (string clip jack) and mount it on the EA or AD. This may also have the advantage of clearing up any wolf tones the bass might have, or helping clarity in general. It did when I mounted mine EA.

You wouldn't want to use the Full Circle Jack assembly, because there is a passive filter inside it that rolls of frequencies, specifically designed to work with the Full Circle. I found that out when I tried to use it with the Ehrlund EAP.
The jack for the Fishman BP-100 is designed the same way and has that same tailpiece clip. Gollihur Music has a really nice mounting kit for the Ehrlund pickup that might work for you with out having to re connect a different jack.
Jonas Lohse also sells a little jack mount called the Lando Clamp that will work on a lot of basses. I'd try the Gollihur first as the Lando comes from Germany and it takes a while to get one. Using a tailpiece clip mount can be problematic as it tends to pull right off the strings when you disconnect the jack if you're not careful.
