Really dumb things your pets do

A friend of mine has this crazy black cat who likes to hide. We were chillin in his house and heard this meow out of nowhere, he opens a closet and the cat jumps out. A few hours later, we were chillin on a couch watching a movie or playing some video game or something, and suddenly i feel something touch my ankle. The cat jumps out from under the couch, gives me a look and runs off.

My dog thinks she can hunt. She's a collie and really can only pretend, because she imitates our other dog who's a beagle. Anyways, last year, she caught several baby rabbits, but unlike the beagle who would have eaten them, was disappointed that they didn't want to play.

The collie is silly, and I'm pretty sure she's smarter than us. She's not allowed on the sofas but likes them a lot... So she waits until she's confident no one is around, then takes a comfy nap... If I catch her doing it, I don't even say anything. She just gives me a guilty look and jumps off.

My 3 yr old shepherd eats pinecones. Sits out in the backyard and eats these things. No way to stop her.

Doesn't seem to bother her system - that is she doesn't barf in the house. But the next morning she'll be doin' her bizniz and let out a small *yip* and, yup, a partially digested cone. Good fiber, I guess.

Also, incessantly licks the back window of the pick-up when were goin' anywhere. Cleanest window in town!

My dog Angel likes squirrels. Once in a while I'll see her staring out the sliding glass door and I know what's next. She's watching the squirrels that live in our backyard eat out of her food bowl. So I open up the screen door and she sprints towards the squirrel's hole under the fence. She can NEVER catch the squirrels, but she just won't stop trying. Usually she sprints towards the fence and forgets to slow down and runs into it. Now whenever I take her to the park, upon seeing a squirrel she usually flips out and tries to drag me towards it.

He thinks he's a cat. He will pace around the top of the couch and then stare out the window, sitting for hours in the same position, until a bird perches in one of our backyard trees. He will then run like hell between three different windows and the back door while barking. when we let him into the back, he has to run at full speed around the back yard (basically in circles) for about a half hour. then he scratches at the door to come in. Go figure.
cant find a pic...

My dog thinks he is a guard dog... he barks at everything... we didn't leave him in the house today when i went to the theaters because we had people in there working on our kitchen so we brought him in the car and there was an accident at an intersection and this guy walked by our car and he started barking like mad until he passed by... he also trys to like my butt after i fart O_o

Epic!

My old dog Bethan (before she died:bawl: ) was without doubt a complete idiot.

One day she went out to do her thing. We let the other dogs back in and all of my family assumed she was still in the kitchen, asleep. After an hour I went out to get something from the garage and there she was, asleep in a box of shredded documents we'd put out. She didn't bark to be let in.

She also was the only dog I'd ever seen that would eat vegtables over meat. She loved peas.

She also wouldn't play fetch. She'd just sit and look at you as though you were stupid.

She was braindead.

I have pug mix that growls and whines while he's chewing his bone. The noise he makes is hilarious it's sort of mix of gremlin and the hamburgler, whining through his nose. "rabble rable rable."

My rat terrier has OCD and will literlly play catch until she drops from exhaustion. If you throw her ball once expect for her to bark at you and put the ball in front of you for the next 2 hours. Never gets tired.

She gets so excited that has she comes up to you with the ball she's barking with it in her mouth and sometimes forgets to let it go but wants you to throw it.

All of my dogs do the flinstone scramble on the kitchen tile floor as their feet slip for a solid second before they actually go anywhere, when they break for a run.

I got a dog for my dad and had it for about a month before I could get it to him. That dog would eat my shorts! Especially if they were sweaty, he would get into the laundry and eat the crotch of my underwear. Did that two or three times.

This is a dachshund, so very short. He would run full speed and jump to get on the couch. But he would long jump instead of high jump and just totally biff face first into the couch.

I have two cats - Rufus and Chi-Chi. Rufus is the really frisky one.

During a previous time when I wasn't allowing them into my bedroom at night while I was sleeping, Rufus developed a nightly routine: When he'd see me preparing to go to bed, he'd jump up and race to my bedroom, where he'd jump up on the little shelf in the vanity area just outside the bedroom door, and wait for me.

As I passed by, he'd then reach out - with both paws - and actually grasp me by the wrist - as if he were trying to hold me back from going into that room without him! Rufus also does such cute/annoying things as 1) shreds an entire roll of toilet tissue with his claws, 2) pulls down my bathroom towels from the towel racks onto the floor, 3) "steals" bread-wrapper twist ties from the top of the refrigerator, and 4) attacks the brush while I'm trying to groom him. He's a complete screwball - and a punk! :smug:

Chi-Chi sometimes likes to sit on the edge of my bathtub while I'm taking a shower...
