Reccomend me some good Blues Rock.

Just a few artists I enjoy, but here it goes.

Janis Joplin put out some great blues rock stuff, good mix of blues and psychedelic rock, along with the voice of an alcoholic.
Zeppelin is a must, Cream is a must.
EARLY Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green is the damn finest. Get the first 2 records and the live in chicago one, and Then Play On if you want a little more prog with your blues.

After you listen to the first Fleetwood album, though, listen to some Leadbelly, Rev. Gary Davis, Buddy Guy and some Doctor Ross The Harmonica Boss. THATS blues to the max.
A+ post.

Also be sure to check out Rory Gallagher and Robin Trower - two GREAT blues/rock guitarists who haven't been mentioned yet... :hmm:

MM

Also A+

Here's some links:
Fleetwood Mac - Oh Well
John Mayall with Peter Green - Supernatural
(Easily one of the best guitar tones, ever.)

I first discovered Robin Trower while I was being driven, stoned out of my skull, in the late hours of the night. Nothing but starry sky, and Bridge of Sighs oozed out of the speakers and into my dome. Talk about perfect set and setting. That song is transcendently good.

How about take a trip backwards and see where these guys you're listening to got their inspiriation?

The Black Keys (especially their earlier albums) draw heavily from Junior Kimbrough and John Lee Hooker. SRV "borrowed" a lot of his licks from Albert King. Jimi Hendrix will take you on a trip to Muddy Waters.
