So, I picked this Ibanez MC2924 up for $200 yesterday at a pawn shop. Great shape, and it was even still in tune! I can't find much info on this model, so what's the score here? Any advice or comments on it?
I feel for the guy who sold it to the pawnshop.
No kidding. He lost hundreds & hundreds of dollars. [/quote[
That bass, in that condition, could go for $800 to
the right person.
Even more actually.
Oh, I hear ya, it always takes me so long to get anything, and when I do get something for my Bass or a Bass I'm like a kid at Christmas time.Thanks. I'm just broke, that's why I rake the pawn shops so much. Just something I learned to do and have been doing since I was a kid. Maybe I'm just lucky. My first bad was a Kawai FIIB that my mother bought for $75 out of a pawn shop. Fool that I was, I sold it for $75 (don't judge, I was 18, and didn't know a damn thing). I got nostalgic a while back and after researching them some, realized what I'd done. To this day, I kick myself for that!
Don't feel bad. I had a Japan made Univox Badazz bass and sold it with original HSC for $25 in the mid 90's. While not as coveted as the Ibby, I still could have gotten some decent coin for it if I had known.Thanks. I'm just broke, that's why I rake the pawn shops so much.
