Recent pawn shop treasure

So, I picked this Ibanez MC2924 up for next to nothing yesterday at a pawn shop. Great shape, and it was even still in tune! I can't find much info on this model, so what's the score here? Any advice or comments on it?

Forgot the pics! And the serial number is L850880. If anyone can give me some info about it (history, original price, current value, etc.), I'd be extremely grateful.

From the early 80s and pretty well regarded. It is in beautiful shape. Nice find.

I'm kinda dorky and scour pawn shops and local postings for deals. I also got a pre-Gibson Trace Elliot (hand written serial, hand built, etc) a few months ago for $150.

You have scored big on that Ibanez, and the Trace amp ain't too shabby, either.
The workmanship on Ibanez basses & guitars from the early 1980's was quite good and I really like that particular bass design. IMO, they could do a successful re-issue on those!

My 1980 Ibanez Roadster:

They are hardly worth selling... Those late 70s, early 80s Ibanez basses will seemingly never be worth selling. They are simply outstanding basses.

Really great score.

I got my Roadster on CL for $100.

That bass, in that condition, could go for $800 to

Beautiful bass which you got for a steal my friend.

Serial number dates it as 1985. This is Ibanez' "second run" of the series. The construction is the same as the older ones but for these later ones they put a more modern bridge, "covered" pickups (i.e. no exposed pole pieces) and streamlined the electronics controls.
