Double Bass Recital Lab Music Choice

Twice a month, at my college, we have a recital lab, where any musician can put their name down with a song they've been studying, to play for the whole school of music. Never before has a bass player played for said lab, and I've decided to step up to the challenge.

Could anyone offer me some songs that transfer well to the bass, or are written for the bass, that would goo over well? I'm a freshman, and for my previous jury I played The Swan in written pitch, and the Gigue from the 1st Cello suite, if that gives you any idea where I'm at. It could be jazz, or classical, I'm just looking for something impressive, yet not impossible. It will be bowed, but pizz on the side is possible.

Rabbath's Ode d'Espagne is a pretty good solo and a quick one to learn. It's written to be played pizz (with some flamenco like strumming in one section) but if done well, it sounds pretty good played arco as well. If you want to do something with jazz, you could do a standard that's suited well for bass (i.e. Nardis) or play it in a key that fits the bass well (i.e. Body and Soul in G).
