Double Bass Recomendations for a small combo under $1000

I need a small lightweight combo amp. I don't need a ton of volume....just enough to play smaller resteraunt jazz gigs and stuff. I have a realist pickup. I would want something on the more inexpensive side, but good quality. I've though about the Markbass Mircomarks and Genz Benz shuttles, but havent tried any...what to you guys think?

I dont own one (yet) but ive heard good things about the Gallien Krueger MB150. I vote for this lil' guy.

I really like my Markbass CMDP 112 combo. The Micro Mark is cool too. They had one of those at the Guitar Centre for 500 bucks.

I got my AI Contra on a trade for an old Polytone! You can get a used one for WELL under 1K. I am playing through a LittleMark II and a Schroeder 12+L. Works great for both UB and EB. Light, portable, and at 1K for both.

This topic has been covered a number of times before. There is lots of good info in this forum if you search a bit. And lots of good sounding options to choose from nowadays too!

Like ADissen alluded to, I think some of the previous posts in this thread were from people who do not play DB, so they may or may not apply for you and your gigging needs. Check people's profiles to see what they play.
