Looking for a Class D head recommendation to use with an Aguilar GS412 cab, 1200W at 4 ohm. Looking for a heavy rock tone, but don't really need amp distortion, but also not opposed to it. What do you all think?

Highly, highly recommend the Bergantino Forte HP2 - 1200w of glorious, powerful tone with built in drive section that you can select via thumb drive/USB port, onboard compression, HPF, LPF, and more
Highly, highly recommend the Genzler Magellan 800 - 800w of "set all the knobs at 12 o'clock and turn it up loud" awesomeness. Built in drive section and two different contours.
Both amps from companies with legendary quality and customer support.

As I have stated in other threads the Mesa WD800 and Orange Terror Bass excel in Rock music. You need clean with texture, done. Slightly overdriven, done. Big time overdrive, done.
The Genz Benz Streamliner is also great for that, but they are pretty hard to come by. Just yesterday I was gigging with mine and a Spector NS Dimension and I was getting an awesome Jason Newstead tone

Second Berg HP2 or darkhorse would be Trace Elliot TE-1200

Another vote for the Genzler Magellan.
One more I'd add to the mix is the Aguilar AG700. Very clean and loud, doesn't have the baked in tone and quirkiness of the TH preamp eq.
I'd consider the MarkBass LittleMark Vintage if you want to avoid the $1000+ price point.

Gotta go Genzler on this one. Can't go wrong with Mesa, Aguilar or Berg either. I tried a few and landed on the magellan - so easy to dial in a good tone.

It depends by your taste (and budget 
) of course, but you can't go wrong with the following:
- Mesa D800+
- Darkglass (any 900 watt head they produce)
- Orange AD200B
- Ampeg V4B
- Fender Super Bassman
or, if you search in the used market:
- Marshall VBA 400 (owned and loved it a lot, but 12 valves in total: 4 pre and 8 final, a real beast!)

I think the Vintage would be my choice. Newer design with a real 12AX7 preamp tube as opposed to the LM tube 800 that uses a micro tube that doesn't seem to do that much. The LM VINTAGE is extremely versatile with it's 3 position selector for flat, scooped or ol school tones. Like having 3 different "personalities" and each can be fine tuned with the EQ. Also a variable limiter to support vintage to modern tones.
Finally, Markbass' 500 watt power amp seems to be favored over the 800 unit.
Keep in mind, this is my humble opinion and the LittleMark Tube 800 is a very good amp.
Now, can I confuse you further?
Are you going to use separate effect pedals? If so, I think your best buy is the LittleMark 58R on Sale for $509. It's also 500 watts and an excellent platform for external effects as it's the most transparent of the LittleMark units. The other units tend to have their own personality that you either love or don't. But of the 2 amps you cited, LittleMark Vintage.
There's only one. It's just a fantastic amp!
@SJan3 yeah I use effects. Compression and currently a SansAmp VT Bass DI are always on, then mix in a little o.d. or modulation at times.
