Recommend a good quality but inexpensive 4x10

I've got a couple of these. They are nice cabinets, not too heavy, not to expensive.

Agree. I use one or 2 of these depending on the venue (2 is for outdoors only). Great cab, usually at a great price. My other cabs are the most recent but no longer produced Marshalls - MBC410. Frequently available used. Somewhat heavier than the Genz Benz, but solid performers.

I have found a few nice good low priced ( under $500 ) Berg, Mesa, Eden, Aggie cabinets on CL! They pop up all the time,You just have to check and keep looking!

I am looking for a good quality all purpose 4x10 cab that I can use in a classic rock band, a new country band, or any other gig that may come my way. Budget is around $500, would love a Bergantino or the like but over my budget... light weight, portable, versitle. I have never been a fan of Hartke stuff, so the Hydrive won't work. Not a carvin or Avatar fan either. Using either a Mesa D800 or GK mb500 fusion head. Want something with low end but also some punch. Some thoughts I had..

Genz Benz Uber410 or Focus 410
Ashdown ABM
GK Neo 4x10 or MBE410

I already have a 12/6 and a 15 from LDS, so please no "get 2 112 cabs or a modular 2x 210 set up". Just want a mid priced, good quality, versitle good ole 4x10...

I use an ampeg 410he. You can find them pretty cheap used. Check reverb.com.

Nice rig which Crown XLS is that? I currently run an XLS 1000 through my 410HLF. I've been wondering about adding a 15 but wasn't sure how well that would work out.

I always liked the Ampeg 410HE and the SWR Goliath II cabinets, but they're not lightweight. You can most definitely get them for reasonable prices on the used market.

I agree with the SWR 410,,they are out there on the used. I also think Carvin makes good speaker cabs and can be had for cheap,Used.

SWR is a great option if you want a reliable budget cab. I got a used workingman's 4x10t for only $60 off CL... CL has some great deals pop up on cabs all the time. There's an Eden D4x10XLT on my local CL right now for only $350, I highly recommend checking out your local classifieds for the best deals.

Used is the way to go! I don't buy anything new anymore because most of the time you are not paying for top product you are paying for the Name brand!

Thanks for some great feedback... I check my local (Long Island) craigslist religiously and there are some things available, but nothing that fits my criteria. There is a Berg CN that is out of my price range, and an SWR Go Light that is too far away and overpriced. Not really interested in the lower end Hartke stuff. I can live with a little weight, just not a 90lb cab to schlep up and down my stairs. I am not in a rush, so I will keep my eye out. Ideally a Genz or Aggie or Berg comes up... I will say though that my Ashdown suggestion got no support at all.

Well, sure. We could factor luck into any gear buying. If I walk into a pawn shop and see a '67 P bass for $450 I'm buying it.

That being said, I wouldn't COUNT on luck. If it happens, it happens.

GK CX410. Sounds fantastic with the MB heads. Won't break your budget or your back.

I've played through one pushing it and it decent, good even, but left me wanting *just* a little bit more from it.

Track down a SWR golight 4x10. I love mine. Neodymium speakers and casters. I can roll it in with one finger. I had my sights set on a MarkBass 4x10, but I saved a wad of cash with a gently used golight and got the same performance.

Golights go for a bit more than the Goliaths. I sold my Marcus Miller Golight 410 for $400 last year on Craigslist.
That was a nice cab. 55 lbs, 800W, 4 ohm and sealed.

As I was told early in my professional career, luck is not a strategy. IME I've only seen the luck thing happen for others and agree 100% about it not being anything one can count on!

Mines the 1500. I run it in bridged mono mode. Your hlf is a 4 ohm cab (both of mine are 8) so I can't be sure how well they'd work together with your amp.

Peavey 410TX, You should be able to find used ones for $200 or less. They are heavy (90lb) but they sound very good, can run at considerable volume and are virtually indestructible.

The fender 410 is a great cab (4 ohm) for a reasonable price!
