I only recommend sweetwater.com because they will show tell you how much a bass weighs and let you pick from a group (If any other on-line retailer does this I would love to know who it/they are).

zzounds.com and americanmusical.com also show weight and let you pick from a group. Pretty awesome service, since that's more information (and choices) than you would normally get in a shop!

It's a 2005 I believe. The PU's sound woody & thumpy. Different from a P or J but still has a nice vintage timbre.

Honest go find a Guild Pilot, so light and P/J...my opinion is the best PRODUCTION BASS EVER.....

Very light, great tone in PJ configuration, and a sweet neck. Mine was my lightest ever, save perhaps for my hollow Jack Casady.

I found an 90's era Ibanez TR50 which has a basswood body. It's super light and the skinny neck is really easy to play. But the headstock!
