Double Bass Recommend a luthier in Seattle?

Met Sarah today. A very nice lady and she certainly knows her craft. We will see how the repair goes, but I know Emily (My Bass), is in very good hands.
Not to be biased, but I’m one of the luthiers at Hammond Ashley where we are all bass players and do rehairs in shop.

It is the La Scala that Arnold put together for me. Kind of great to have a very capable luthier look at this bass after 8 or 9 years with no luthier help; just my humble efforts to keep it playable. Sarah did remark that it's a handsome bass. Fingers crossed that it doesn't need major surgery. All the best to you Eric. Happy New Year and lets hope President Biden can make some positive headway.

I had to make a surprise trip to Lake Forest Park to an ATM before I could pick up my bass. It's 20th century service for your 18th century instrument.
Just a quick update. Picked up my bass today. Had a great discussion with Sarah. She is a lovely person and a true artist. Her work is superb. My bass is now in great shape and it sounds wonderful. Many thanks to those who recommended Sarah.
It is such an important thing. My primary luthier is still in Texas - the great bassist Thomas Helton. We've played together for years and his work is great. I really feel like he understands the what my needs to do and what it gets put through.
I have had some great work done in STL at St. Louis Strings - related to KC Strings. Their rehairs are phenomenal.
