Recommend Bridge?

Can one of ya'll suggest a aftermarket bridge for my Squier VM Jazz? The Badass bridge is discontinued.

Can't beat the economy bridge at guitar parts resource. Put one on my SX and it sounds great.

The Babicz is sweet but pricey. Also in the same price range is the Hipshot A series.

Gotoh has the 201 or 203, which are a little more affordable.

What's wrong with the stock bridge?

Why not the schaller bridge? That was the upgrade from a Bad Ass back in the day. Good heavy chunk of metal, roller sadles ( no string breaks from burrs), adjustable string spacing, and solidly built like the rest of schaller's stuff. Thats a no brainer for me.

All Leon Quann stuff is currently out of production, which means finding the bridge on eBay or the like for ridiculous prices.

The Schaller 463 is a nice bridge and right in the middle price wise, but it's not a direct swap. It's a 3 hole mount, versus the Squier's 5 hole mount. Not sure if the OP wants to redrill for his new bridge.

+1 for Gotoh 201 .. I put one on my fretless Squier JB and I really love the sound.

plus it was one of the cheapest bridges i could get that many people consider to be a nice upgrade

But is should be noted that the saddles are quite a bit thicker in diameter than the stock saddles, so you may have to adjust for the action difference after you install it.. I definitely did

Nothing, just want to change to black. I think I am gona get the Gotoh just because its affordable and a direct swap.

I have this bridge on three basses. Great bridge at a low price. Basically a no name version of the Gotoh 201.

Ah, a color change!

The Gotoh 201 and 203 both come in black, so you're in luck. Of the two, I prefer the 201 personally, but the 203 is a nicer version of the standard, stock "bent metal" Squier piece.

Never thought I'd say it but that's a sexy looking bridge.

I like the threaded saddle bridges you find on the reissue Fenders. They can be had for cheap $, they're light, and I like that you can adjust the string spacing slightly on the saddles to line up exactly how you want it.

Or you can still get a BA bridge on Ebay.
