Recommend me a wireless system

I'll differ just because I have not used the Line6 but I have used this Sennheiser for about 7 or 8 years now and it has been outstanding.
same..sennheiser ew100 series is where it is at...if you can afford it...

Get a Line 6 based on your price range. All are good, and you'll be able to find one that is in your budget range. If it isn't, don't go wireless. Because if you can't afford a decent system, you sure won't be able to afford all the batteries that come with operating them.
I recently got a Line 6 G30. Have only used it for one gig so far, but worked really well. No reception/cutout issues at all and my tone was unaffected.
I've never tried the line 6. I've heard really good things about the Sennheiser systems through a few friends. I have a Samson system that works rather well, and I picked it up dirt cheap too.

Line 6 doesn't get mentioned any more frequently than any other brand.
I have used Sennheiser for over 10 years and have never had an problem with it.
"Line 6 G50" all the way. Digital transmitter = no companding = no loss of lows / tone. With the cable tone feature disabled tone is brighter than a cable. Not a bad thing just EQ to taste. - Energizer rechargeables 2450mah. I have been using the setup for over a year and love it. The G30 is good also just made of plastic instead of metal.
PS: I have had several Nady and the Line 6 X2. The G50 kicks butt and I have had no issues doing a full night on the rechargables with power to spare. I bought the kit with four batteries and the charger is mounted in the rack with my head so two batteries are always are ready to go.

Yeah, the Line 6 is definitely the most recommended unit, here and elsewhere. I'm not saying they are better, just that they are much more popular. I just ordered the G50 this afternoon and I am very much looking forward to checking it out. I got mine from Sweetwater and they give you a 2 year warranty free.
If you can get an accidental damage warranty go for it. My new found freedom led me to moving around so much I snagged a cymbal stand next to me (tight stage) and required repair... free and they sent me a free back-up cable too. The G50's transmitter cable is a bit unique due to a sub-mini XLR connector used, I wanted a spare cause it is the only one like it in my gig bag.
I think I paid around $18 for the Shure cable, which is a little longer than the stock cable and has a right angle 1/4" plug. I will keep the stock cable for a back up.
Was your transmitter in a pouch when the mishap occurred or did you just have it clipped on your strap?
