Recommend Some Liquor!

How about a Vesper martini? I make something similar with Bombay Sapphire, Ciroc vodka, dry vermouth, and lemon, but the real deal calls for Lillet. I like the Ciroc because I think its sort of antiseptic quality adds to the drink, but that's just me.

Otherwise, Glenfiddich 12, if you don't want to spend a lot.

I was once partial to a wee dram o' Drambuie. Some medieval monk concocted it, apparently. It's a righteous ruination - hammers a hella halo on ya howlin' head. But I'm an absinth purist now, once in a blue moon.

To Relax ? ... Johnny Walker Red label ... Blue if you can afford it.
Want to see vapor trails ? ... MD 20/20 ....Grape.

MD 20/20? Wow, that takes me back to my high school days when I was broke teenager looking for a cheap buzz. Scraping my bowl and sucking down Mad Dog...... thanks for the flashback to 1984.

It's been a long time ... I spent the summer of 86 with it and that was about it. Ah the 80's. What was it then, a couple bucks for a bottle ?

$1.69 for a bottle that I could hide in the inside pocket of my leather jacket. Cheap buzz that was nearly drinkable, but boy did you pay for it with the after buzz headache.

Yeah, the 80's. When I had money, I could get a six pack of Moosehead beer and a pack of Marlboros for $5. The beer was $3.74 and the smokes were $1.25. Gas was 75 cents a gallon, too. I could put $10 of gas in the Camaro and cruise all weekend.

I miss those days.

I used to step it up to Dr Magillicuddies peppermint schnapps when I had a few extra bucks lol.

What do you like?

Though not a proper absinthe, I enjoy Absente. It's a little more flavorful than some of the other absinthes I've had, and the ABV is lower.
Me? Virtually anything absinth - as long as it's ridiculously expensive. I once took a shine to Mr Jekyll - said hello to Dr. Hyde, and good night, nurse.
