Recommendation for 4-String Neck Thru with 24 Frets Basses?

Thanks for all the answers. You guys pretty much covered all good options from $200-$10,000 lol. You are all amazing.

As some additional info, since I feel like I wasn't clear enough when I typed the question out. I will pass on Spector since I couldn't get the sound I want from it, and the short upper horn feels kinda weird. I would prefer a passive bass or with the passive/active switch, and sounds good in both modes. Also, Warwick is heavy and their necks are usually thick, which makes me not considering them either.

A think neck and lightweight are also VERY important!

For the budget, I'm not entirely sure, maybe under 2k? Cost-efficiency is important too tho, if a bass is priced the low hundreds but it's so nice then I don't see any reason to spend more money to get something boutique.

Looking at some of these recommended basses, this guy is going to need a big credit line. I wonder how many of the "recommenders" actually own them? I have an ESP/LTD D-4. 24 frets, neck through, active eq, $669 at your favorite retailer. Decent bass, not expensive.

Oh snap well try the higher end Ibanez sound gear basses.

There are 4 neck-thru SRs in current catalog: the single cut "Cerro" 5 & 6 strings SRSC805 & SRSC806 and the fretless "Portamento" 4 & 5 string SRF704 & SRF705.

The Cerros are lightweight despite single cut and there used to be Cerro 4 string SRSC800 also a few years back.

The last "normal" (fretted & dual cut) neck-thru SRs were from 2016 SR Premiums: the 4 string SR1400TE, the 5 string SR1405TE, and the 6 string SR1406TE.

And should I mention currently Ibanez has the Affirma series, which are set necks, literally a close thing to a neck-thru, and also lightweight, in 4 and 5 strings: the AFR4 & AFR5.

All are definitely bellow your 3k / 2k budget. Nearly about half of it.

I really like Pbass necks, this is more jazzy.

I’d put it in the slim and fast category.

This is also the first instrument I have found that sounds good when in coil split mode.

The jazzy neck is the only downside for me.

set necks are fine, one less thing to fiddle with.
