Double Bass Recommendations for 410 cab

Probably save a few bucks too with the LDS cabinet. Comparable pwr handling to the Epifani too, right?

So this isn't a typo in your profile...LDS 3 way 5x8? How burly is that thing sound-wise? Might this beast compare well to a 410 or similar.

How does the T-110UL compare to the EA VL-110 sound-wise?

Tom, I could keep this up all night...but I'm hijacking. Sorry guys. Back to the 410's.

I will PM you.

You might also want to check out the Nemesis 4x10" at 50lbs.

I'll second that. Or for even easier handling, a pair of Nemesis 210's. Extended lows (35Hz) but without the low-mid hump many boxes have. Doesn't have the highly detailed mids/highs of the more expensive Edens, but a warmer sound might be better for URB.

I also thought recommending the 210 because of the better specs. Impressive box!

i have 2X12s in a box with 2 ports. the 12s are high quality but i really want more high end to get a cleaner sound and to pick up my slapping.

really, really thinking about getting the hartke vx410 box.

the band says that i should just work with what i got (dont fork out the bucks unnecessarily), but i dont know a whole lot about rebuilding stuff like this and the thing looks like i built it my damned self any ways.

i had considered putting a tweeter or a horn in one of the ports. but another feller says i gotta watch out for frequencies.

dunno fellers...just dunno

What other options do you have in your neck of the woods (and within your budget) other than Hartke?

Tom.

Heck, cant go wrong for 300 bucks!

or...

i could stick 100 bucks or so in what ive got and risk it not working out. still playing pros and cons here.

what do you reckon? 2X12s from Eminence or 4X10s from Hartke?

Thanks for all the help. After a few trials and much research, I bought a new/demo/floor model - SWR 4x10 cab for less than $300. Works great with my Dietz 15". Sounds great by itself with UB. Thanks again.

Bill
