Recommendations for a fat sounding envelope filter with up and down modes?

I have had EHX Enigma, not bad. But it is very easy to spoil your live gig - there are no presets (POG2 as an example) and a small turn of knob - you loose your tone. In studio? It seems to be almost perfect.
I agree, the Enigma is a pedal that would really benefit from presets. I'm sure EHX could do it, the EHX Stereo Talking Machine I have has 9 programmable presets. Maybe for the next version of the Enigma!

I think it's time for an e-mail campaign.

My wish list for a Q-Balls Deluxe:

Presets (duh!)
Distortion pot on the outside
Volume control
Maybe a phase switch for the blend, although the blend works very well already

Yeah, but knowing my luck they'll only implement these suggested changes AFTER I've finally ponied up the money to buy the old one! D'oh!

The wonderlove is great but I found an original Groove regulator and am super happy with it.
I've tried the GR and GR2 and while they didn't quite do it for me, they're both great filter pedals. I haven't tried the Wonderlove.

Interestingly, there have been a few TBers who've said they like the GR and GR2 better than the Wonderlove.

Man, I just wish they'd do an Enigma-sized, upgraded BassBalls (the BassBigBalls!) - with the filter trimpots on the outside, a separate footswitch for the distortion like the Enigma has, separate sense and volume controls, and maybe even some sort of EQ. I have not been able to get exactly what I like from the bassballs out of the enigma, even though the enigma's provenance is half-bassballs.

Might be worth considering the EHX stereo Talking Machine? Whilst it doesn't do everything you are asking for, it can do Bassballs and then some! Programmable distortion, plus an effects loop.
The Sensitivity dial lets you set a threshold for the filter, and you can also control the filter's envelope with the Attack and Decay controls. You can plug in an expression pedal and save up to 9 presets too. I hadn't played around with mine for a while and forgotten how much fun this pedal is.

The BassBalls voicing just isn't my flavor, but your idea for an ungraded one (BassBigBalls - perfect name!) would appeal to a lot of people.
