Hopkins,
How similar is the strat body to the bronco body? I've got a spare bronco neck and I really like my other bronco. I was thinking about picking up a cheap strat body for a bronco-strat bass(which would hopefully fool people into thinking it's just a bronco). I've been looking for one w/o the trem routes tho.
I cut it from an alder blank. Its about 5/8" longer than a Strat body. The neck is from a 30" Scale from a Mustang bass. The neck pocket is slightly wider and set quite a bit deeper into the body than a stock Strat pocket. You could do it with a not trem Strat, but a Mustang bridge Like I used would hang over the end of the body, and you would have to re rout the neck pocket.
