Recording Help

ok heres the situation, i have read many of the recording threads here but i still have one question: How could i simply record my bass to my pc and maybe if im lucky burn it to a cd? Also if i have to get one of those recording programs which ones are good and free?

Basically you're going to need a cable to plug your bass into the PC. What type depends on whether you're taking a line out of your amp, or straight from the bass. Plug this into the input of your soundcard - usually to the line level input and *not* mic. Check your soundcard inputs to find out which is which. The mic one is too sensitive for output from amps or active basses.

Then you'll need recording software. Look for software on [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] or Link Removed.

Lastly you'll need CD burning software like Nero or Easy CD.
