Red or Amber?

Looking at two basses, same brand same model, I want both but can only afford one. Only difference is one is red, the other amber. Which would you choose?

I chose amber, but that's because I have a beautiful red bass already.

Is the red solid/opaque and the amber transparent/sunburst?

If given a choice, I usually choose a transparent finish, since I like to see the natural beauty of the wood. Even simple grained alder is more appealing to me than all kinds of funky colors. (But go figure, one of my basses is a funky colored bass and I absolutely adore it. Audiences even more so.)

This is Talk Bass - we all know the proper answer is both.

But in leiu of that - I would suggest this flip-a-coin website to help facilitate your choice.

Well, one bass might look better in red, depending on the red and the model, and one bass might look better in amber, so a pic or two might help.

My gut reaction would be amber, just because that sounds cooler.
But really pics are needed to get any sort of sensible response on this.

Both basses play and sound good. Sorry no pics, both are semi trans. Amber is two tone fading a lil darker from the middle. Feel free to change your vote (I think I made that an option?)

Buying a Warmoth Pbass. For some reason they don't show the custom pic body, or I'm doing something wrong.

Ordering, I didn't want the brand or the model to be an issue. I know someone who someone who has one very similar to what I want and sounds great. Sorry for the lack of details I just wanted this to be about the color. Forgot to put EDIT: in my last post.

Given those pictures, red. And a solid black guard (without the white stripe) - more subtle, classier.

I also have to admit I like the heavier red one better looks wise.
