I picked up a REDDI a couple of days ago for an upcoming recording session. I had a chance to try it out during rehearsal last night in our project studio with my Fender Roscoe Beck V. All I can say is WOW!! Fat, warm, weighty, clear, open, tight. It manages to hit all the check marks at once. I could hear every nuance of my playing better than anything I've used before, even better than my Café Walter headphone amp. The only down-side I see is that the bass is so huge sounding that it is easy to dominate the mix.

But the bright side of that is that mixing you to where your notes can't can't be distinguished is next to impossible I can hook you up with a NOS tube that will REALLY let you dominate the mix, too...but I ended up taking it out because of complaints and I just use the tube it came with. Makes it more universal.

Kirk, very cool gig score...big fan of Derek's...saw Whitford/St. Holmes once and Derek kicked ass. Rob Grange went direct and through a B-18N with a Phase 90, I believe. But the Small Stone kicks ass, too. Got a Nano Small Stone now but I've had three old ones, too...don't use it much, but if we ever do "For The Love Of Money" or "Stranglehold", I'm ready!

Yes.. i didn't own or know anyone with a phase 90.... Beggars like me cant be choosy.. .
The small stone worked well. he had it done up by Analog man with some mod.. whatever was done to it. it sounded pretty good.

Peter once said he uses Svetlanas when he's out of Sovteks. Never tried the Svetlanas myself. Heard they're basically the same tube, though.
